If you were thinking the Queensland Garden Expo was strictly for serious plant whisperers and folks who get excited about soil pH, you might be surprised. Word is, they've gone and arranged a whole heap of brilliant activities specifically for the littlest members of the family. It's not just talks and workshops for the grown ups, it seems the kids are getting a look in too.

This is a cracking opportunity for your small people to really get stuck in, embrace their inner grubby gardener, and generally make a magnificent mess. They can get their hands dirty, learn a thing or two about what grows where, and more importantly, just have an absolute ball playing in the garden. Expect them to be suitably exhausted and possibly covered in a charming layer of earth by the end of it, which, let's face it, is the hallmark of a successful outing.
