Take an easy-going guided walk through the Sculpture Garden at the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens. The Sculpture Garden is showcased within the Botanic Gardens’ eighty-two hectares of eucalypt and riparian forest, with creeks, lagoons and multiple walking tracks.

Walkers will have the opportunity to contemplate the various artworks and their expressions within the native garden setting; learn more about the stories in stone and marvel at the amazing results when nature and art are combined.

Eight artists utilised twenty tonnes of stone in 2005 to produce the many sculptures now placed in the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens' bushland and landscaped garden setting. The lawn areas and seating in this area provide a secluded location for quiet contemplation of the natural beauty of the garden.

The Art in Nature walk is suitable for adults and will include walking on both paved and gravel surfaces in the natural bush setting of the Botanic Gardens. Please dress appropriately for a walk in the outdoors.

Can you spot the little painted rocks? These images were taken by the author during the ‘bug’ period when painted rocks were very much in vogue and everyone was either painting rocks to be hidden and found or were out treasure hunting for painted rocks. It was a fun and magical way to spread joy and happiness in the community.
