Plenty of free things to do, especially if your idea of a good time involves small, furry creatures being adorable on demand. Little ones can cuddle baby animals in the petting zoo, follow the Young Farmer's trail or tear about the kids' play area, while the main ring keeps running all day with everything from Olympic calibre show jumping to some very well groomed show horses who clearly know how to strike a pose.

There's also a Community Stage showcasing local acts and an Education Stage for talks about animals, apiculture and the Light Horse, so you can learn useful stuff or just enjoy people talking passionately about bees and horses. Sessions tend to be down to earth, often with practical tips, a bit of history and questions from anyone brave enough to ask.
