Showcased for more than thirty-eight years, the much-loved Chevallum StrawbFest is back for 2025. This vibrant, community-focused family friendly event will be held on Friday, 12th September 2025 from 5.00pm till late at the one-and-only Chevallum State School.

StrawbFest, a locally treasured bi-annual tradition that has been a key event on the Sunshine Coast for so many years, attracts thousand of people from all across the region, bringing the community together for a night of fun, entertainment and delicious food.



StrawbFest celebrates the strawberry as an icon of Chevallum State School community and is proudly supported by the Queensland Strawberry Growers Association. StrawbFest is run entirely by school volunteers, who work collaboratively with local farmers and businesses to raise funds and promote community involvement. These funds go towards helping Chevallum State School children to gain further access to a wider range of educational programmes and opportunities.

Help to bring new all-abilities play equipment and essential learning resources to Chevallum State’s students.

The Chevallum StrawbFest is a FREE family-friendly event, but in 2025 the number of entry tickets are capped, which means REGISTRATION is a must! Please follow this link to register your family’s participation.



Every great event is powered by many helping hands and StrawbFest is no different! Volunteers of all kinds are needed - parents, grandparents, family, neighbours and community groups - to help bring the magic of StrawbFest to life on the night.

As a small school of just 400 families, every extra pair of hands makes a big difference. If you would like to get involved, simply select the Volunteer Ticket Type when booking and the organisers will be in touch with details on how you can help. StrawbFest can once again be the unforgettable celebration for everyone that we all remember and love!



Getting to the festival this year just got easier, with added extra parking close to the action, ensuring that visitors can skip the stress and focus on the fun. With thanks to Chevallum State School’s neighbours Twist Brothers Turf who are generously ensuring that there is extra parking available in 2025!
