Discover the unique and resilient plants that thrive on the steep, rocky slopes of the Glass House Mountains, many of which are not found anywhere else in the world! The legendary Glass House peaks are visible across the southern Sunshine Coast and islands and hold deep spiritual significance for the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara peoples.

Join Rowena Thomas (co-author of Ranger Field Guide: Native Plants of the Glass House Mountains National Park ) and Hilary Pearl (PhD researcher in montane heath ecosystems) for a two hour hands-on workshop exploring these remarkable endemic species.

Participants will discover and learn an in-depth understanding of :
•Why these mountains host so many unique plants
•Why these ecosystems matter for conservation
•How to care for them and even grow them in your own garden!

What participants need to bring :
•Pen
•Torch (or phone with torch)
•Magnifying lenses and worksheets will be provided
