Fun heritage adventures for kids

Bankfoot House is THE place to head to these Spring school holidays - Image: heritage.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au

Bankfoot House was established in 1868 by William and Mary Grigor. Cobb & Co coaches, travelling between Brisbane and the Gympie goldfields, used the property as a lunch stop and staging post. The house was named after Mary’s village in Scotland. Today, Bankfoot House is a State-heritage listed property that welcomes all visitors to visit and experience tours of the heritage listed house, view seasonal exhibitions in the Mary Grigor interpretive centre and/or enjoy a picnic in the scenic grounds.

During the spring school holidays, children will be excited to know that a variety of fun adventure experiences have been organised at Bankfoot House, with everything from a Flower Wristband Workshop to Gold Panning and even Butter Churning, taking children back to days of old.

So, what’s happening and when?
