Wildflower Wonders of Marcus High Dunes, Marcus Beach
One of the coast's best-kept secrets - Image: www.eventbrite.com.au
Discover one of the coast’s best kept secrets with the Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival walk to the Marcus High Dunes. Share the joys of the wallum woodlands and heathland behind Marcus Beach. Enjoy a rich variety of plants as you wander and walk, see what is in bloom and enjoy some quality time in nature. Walkers will also be provided with a map of likely species that may be in bloom.
Your guide will share stories, insights and information on the flowers, give you time to take heaps of photos and end the session with a light morning tea up on the dunes.
Unlike many of the wildflower walks, the Wildflower Wonders of Marcus High Dunes includes quite a bit of walking, some uphill sections and soft sandy tracks.
Important Info:
•Participants should be aged fourteen or older, or be accompanied by an adult
•Please bring a hat, insect protection, water and wear enclosed shoes.
