Food, fun, festivities and fireworks for the whole family



The Sunshine Coast has been occupied by indigenous people for thousands of years and the area where Yandina developed is the home of the traditional owners of the land, the Gubbi Gubbi people. Yandina started as a logging town, then a farming district, before becoming what it is today, a growing town that takes pride in its history, while forging a prosperous future.



The charming town of Yandina showcases a rich past, a vibrant present and a future brimming with character. Yandina, as one of the oldest towns on the Sunshine Coast, was a stop on Cobb and Co’s route to the Gympie goldfields, later becoming a railway town when the line was built through the area.



Today, Yandina offers a captivating blend of its rich heritage and modern life and is proud to be once again showcasing the much-loved Yandina Street Fair, the biggest day of the year for the region and it’s all happening on Sunday 24th August.



Hundreds of visitors and locals are expected to flock to Yandina’s main streets for a full day of live music, market stalls, family activities, food, fireworks and community spirit. According to the organisers, ‘there is something for everyone, from live entertainment on three stages to pony rides, face painting, balloon twisting and a petting zoo - a day that the whole family can come along to enjoy.’



The ever-popular Amusement Alley will be back, along with Speedway and Classic Car displays, and a wide range of artisan and homemade stalls showcasing local creativity and craftsmanship. The festivities at the Yandina Street Fair will finish with a spectacular fireworks and laser light show, closing out the Fair with a bang.



The Yandina Street Fair is run by a team of dedicated volunteers and operates as a sub-committee of Business Yandina. The event highlights the best of local businesses and the community in Yandina and the surrounding districts.
