The Sunshine Coast Indian Association invites you to experience the magic, the colour and the joy of Diwali - Festival of Lights to be held at Aussie World in October.



What is Diwali?

"Diwali, or the Festival of Lights, is an Indian festival celebrated in Hinduism, Janism and Sikhism, symbolising the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. Celebrated by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs, it involves decorating homes with oil lamps called diyas, creating colorful rangoli patterns, feasting, exchanging gifts and lighting fireworks. The specific meanings vary by religion, such as the return of Prince Rama for Hindus or Lord Mahavira's attainment of nirvana for Jains.  Celebrations involve lighting lamps, decorating homes, exchanging sweets and gifts and performing prayers to deities for prosperity" - information courtesy of AI.

•CARER ENTRY | FREE - Carer of single ticket holder FREE with Companion Card, one carer per single ticket. This ticket does NOT include rides.
•UNDER 3'S ENTRY | FREE - Enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavours of Diwali with access to all festival entertainment, cultural performances, food stalls and light displays.
